The story of SkyBat Studio begins at the Miami Ad School, where Tania Vasallo and Ben Mittleman met while studying Art Direction. Coming from backgrounds in fine arts and design, they finished school and went on to become successful art directors for advertising agencies in Miami and New York. For ten years, they developed groundbreaking creative for some of the world's most renowned companies: BMW, General Motors, US Army, McDonald's, Washington Mutual, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Nabisco, Siemens, AT&T Wireless, Samsung, Waldorf Astoria, Starbucks and Fujifilm.

After years of close collaboration with major photographers in the advertising industry, they decided to pursue photography themselves. Abandoning big city life, they headed to one of the world's premier photography institutions: The Maine Photographic Workshops. There they worked with some of the world's leading photographers. After this intensive training period, they emerged with a new level of expertise in photography and a new visual discipline in their creative arsenal.

They have been the recipients of awards such as: BBC News, Lürzer's Archive, International Photography Awards, Fotogramas Magazine best poster design, Mirada de la luz - Caixa Galicia, PDN Magazine "Faces", Prix de fotografía, PhotoEspaña - Gymkana fotográfica de Madrid.

They have also showcased their work in several exhibits: Artist Space, American Visionary Art museum, Benefit with Books, Sala 19, Art from the Heart, A.I.R gallery, Sefardí 515 and De La Riva. They recently showcased their latest photography book project: "A-6 Sin Prisas" http://www.graficasaga.com/en/fotos-a6-sin-prisas at the Kreisler Gallery in Madrid, Spain.

SkyBat Studio's main focus is photography & design. Ben and Tania consider each assignment a truly collaborative effort between themselves and their clients. Some of their local clients include: Bon Marché, Home Grown NM, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and Santa Fe Community Farm. Though their nest is in Santa Fe, they service clients all over the world.
